studying medicine abroad
An MBBS or MD abroad only works if you can practise with it later. For Nepali students, one body matters above all: the NMC.

01the NMC, first
To practise medicine in Nepal with a foreign degree, the Nepal Medical Council must recognise your university, and you must pass its licensing examination. This is the single most important check for any medical route abroad.
important right now
Check NMC recognition and the licensing requirements before you apply — not after you graduate. A degree from an unrecognised university can leave you unable to practise in Nepal.
02before you commit
Confirm the university is on the NMC's recognised list, understand the screening and licensing exam you'll need to sit, and treat any agent's promises about recognition or jobs with healthy caution.
