You do not apply for this visa — your university does. That makes the Netherlands the lowest-effort process in this guide, with one logistical catch worth planning around.
Only a recognised sponsor — your institution — can apply to the IND. You cannot file it yourself, and you do not need to.
This is the defining feature of the Dutch route. There is no embassy interview, no consular file to assemble, no Genuine Student statement. The IND relies on your institution's own vetting as a recognised sponsor. Your obligations are to be genuinely admitted, to show sufficient funds, and to have a clean record.

One practical problem that no amount of institutional efficiency solves for you.
There is no Dutch embassy in Nepal. Collecting your MVV and giving biometrics may require travelling abroad — New Delhi is the commonly cited option.
So while the paperwork burden is the lightest here, the travel burden may be the heaviest — a trip abroad to collect an entry visa, with its own cost, timing and its own visa implications. Confirm the current arrangement with your university early; they process this routinely and will know the present position better than any guide.

Many universities let you pay a guarantee fee to the institution instead of demonstrating the funds separately — often simpler from Nepal than assembling and evidencing bank statements. Ask your admissions office which route they prefer.

The guarantee fee is a remittance like tuition, so the NOC gates it. Because your university cannot file with the IND until you have paid, this sits directly on the critical path — start it as soon as you are admitted.
