Letter of acceptance
From an Irish institution on the official programme list.
Evidence tuition is paid
Ireland generally expects the fee, or a substantial part of it, paid before the visa is decided.
Passport
Valid, plus previous passports where you have them.
Academic documents
Transcripts and certificates, in English or with certified translation.
English test result
Meeting the institution's requirement.
Evidence of funds
Living costs for the year, with the source documented.
Private medical insurance
Required for the visa, arranged before you apply.
You complete the application on AVATS online, then submit the signed summary and your documents at the VFS centre in Kathmandu. From there the file is couriered to the Embassy of Ireland in New Delhi, which decides it. Nobody in Nepal assesses your case.

The Kathmandu VFS centre cannot answer questions about your case and cannot chase it. Everything substantive goes through the New Delhi visa office, so build the file as though nobody will ever ring you to clarify — because they will not.
