your documents
Australia decides your file online and never asks you to hand a paper application to anyone. What you do in Nepal is give biometrics, sit a medical, and assemble evidence that will be read closely.
The set below is what a Nepali applicant to Australia is normally asked for. Your institution or your circumstances can add to it — treat this as the floor, and the official checklist as the ceiling.
Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE)
Issued by your provider once you accept the offer and pay the deposit. The whole visa is built around it.
Genuine Student statement
A written response to set questions about your circumstances, choice of course and plans. This is where most Nepali refusals happen.
Passport
Valid, and the identity anchor for the application and the biometrics appointment.
Academic transcripts & certificates
NEB and any bachelor's, from the issuing board or university.
English test result
Meeting both the university bar and the separate visa floor.
Financial evidence
Funds, source of funds, and a sponsor whose income supports the claim.
OSHC health cover
Overseas Student Health Cover for the full visa period, arranged before you lodge.
Health examination
At a panel clinic, when the application asks for it.
Lodgement is entirely online through ImmiAccount. There is no counter in Nepal that accepts an Australian student visa application, and nobody needs to lodge it for you. What Nepal does require is an in-person biometrics appointment, booked through VFS Global.

Read the actual questions
The Genuine Student requirement asks specific things — your ties to Nepal, why this course and this provider, what the qualification does for you afterwards. Answer those, not a template.
Make the course choice defensible
A course unrelated to your previous study or work needs an explanation an assessor will accept. Write it before you apply, not after a query.
Match the money to the story
Funds that appear suddenly, or a sponsor whose income does not support the amount, undermine an otherwise strong statement.
Keep every claim evidenced
Anything you assert should have a document behind it. Unsupported claims are what turn a genuine application into a doubted one.
Biometrics for Nepali applicants: required for every application, at a VFS centre in Kathmandu
Health examination: panel clinic only, arranged through the application
Where the application is decided: online, by the Department of Home Affairs — not at any office in Nepal
The Genuine Student requirement replaced the older Genuine Temporary Entrant test, and the English and financial thresholds attached to the subclass 500 have both moved recently. Check the current instrument before you write a word of your statement.
Where this page shows a blank rather than a number, it is because we could not verify it against a source we would stand behind. A shown gap is more useful than a confident guess.
Most of your file is issued in Nepal and is identical whichever destination you choose. Each of these has its own guide with the office address, the fee and the steps.
The NOC is a Nepal-side requirement, not Australia's — but without it a Nepali bank will not send your tuition, so it blocks everything downstream regardless of where you are going.
